can you recognize the house above from what happens to be one of my favorite childhood movies?  here's a hint... it's from a christmastime movie starring macaulay culkin.  you should know the answer by now, but read more after the jump!



well that's right ladies and gents, the house from home alone is up for sale as of yesterday for $2.4 million.  it's located in winnetka, illinois, about 20 miles north of downtown chicago.  it actually looks like a beautiful, well-maintained home, and with 4 bedrooms and 3 1/2 baths it's a great size for a family.  plus, you can't ignore the added bonus of being able to reenact scenes from the famous movie - how fun would it be to sled down the main staircase just like macaulay culkin's character, kevin mcallister?!
